About the show:
Chris Kokesh
and
Leela Grace, both powerful singer-songwriters and
instrumentalists based in Portland, Oregon, met at the CD release
concert of Portland favorite, Richard Colombo. They had each
contributed vocals and instrumental parts to the CD but had never
played together in person! With their busy solo performing
schedules, it took them a year to find a time to present a concert
together.
Leela and Chris are excited to see what they can create on December
3. The show is sure to include beautiful harmonies, hot fiddle and
banjo duets, strong originals from each singer, old time and
bluegrass tunes, favorite songs re-imagined, and even some clogging!
Don't miss this amazing evening...Together, they will present a fun
show featuring a solo set from each and a duo set!

About Chris:
Veteran of stages
including the Strawberry Music Festival (CA), the Walnut Valley
Festival (KS), Sisters Folk Festival (OR), and Wintergrass (WA),
Chris Kokesh
helped create Northwest favorite Misty River's signature vocal blend
and modern folk style. After 12 years of touring with the band,
Kokesh set out to find her own voice. With the 2010 release of her
solo CD, October Valentine, her stunning songwriting,
crystalline vocals, tasty fiddle, and solid guitar have
distinguished her as a stand-alone talent who is receiving national
acclaim.
